She is a perfect beauty, bestowed by all the virtues. Among billions and billions of her descendents, the human beings, peculiar among all have attributed thousands of words on beauty. Those words too lack to address the real aesthetics of her, in essence. Though a mother doesn’t discriminate among her children, it’s those peculiar kinds who always trespass over other sibling’s right, so she has to be cautious to maintain the balance and let generations tread.

You may be thinking for quite some time, what the ‘ell I am talking about. Come on my dear readers, let’s look at the pond full of crystal clear water to peer upon our own reflection; just like Narcissus did in the past. Did you too fell in love with your own beauty? Of course, your response may be like, you couldn’t find the HD quality of picture on the water’s mirror. It’s us, we human beings who have spoiled the quality of the water, then how we can visualize the clear reflection.

Alright, leave it now. Rather my friends, let’s have a walk on the dusk when there’s breeze to feel, where there are birds on the sky flying towards their destinations for night to view at, where there are the fragrances spread through diverse of flowers blooming with youthful energy to breathe and in such a paradise, I want to hold your hand and share such a divine romantic feeling with you. Oops! Sorry, I can’t even touch you, can’t even be close to you. If I do, I have to either sanitize myself or live with fear for two weeks or more in the trauma if I’ve been infected.

It’s the year 2020, when we have been isolated by our own kinds. Gaia had to take this crucial step though unwillingly to make us realize that we are not the supreme power. We had made a giant mistake by supposing ourselves as the rational beings by being most irrational among all other species. Yes, now we have realized the fact that we are only the dice who are run by the supreme power; Nature. Yes. My mother, now I have realized my position and my responsibilities. Thanks mother for making me alert about my blunders by warning me with the punishment of Covid-19. Come on, my friends; let’s try to correct our activities with this realization that it’s solely our blunder to intervene into other species’ world. Now, we have missed our freedom to walk, run, visit to our loved ones and many more. All the activities which we are missing during these lock-up phase were so trivial then, but they are the big ones in today’s context. No doubt. It’s our human nature, to feel the importance of something when there’s absence. Just one month ago, the matters which were present with us, so we couldn’t map those as important. But they have been our nostalgic cravings from the lock-up.

Let’s repent our deeds of the past and pray to our mother, Gaia to release us once again not the pandemic from Pandora’s box. We are extremely sorry mother, please forgive us. We know you too aren’t happy to see us sad. So please release us soon.

*-Assistant Professor, Nepal Sanskrit University

Usha Acharya* Gaia is the real text; a canvas, a literature, a genre, a poetry, a melody, a tragedy, a melodrama, a society, a world; everything befalls within.
