Covid 19 , generally known as Corona virus is a virus originated in Sea food market of Wuhan , China. Scientifically, it is elucidated as a group of Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) viruses that cause a variety of diseases in humans and other animals. At present, this virus is affecting whole world. More than 70,500 people have died due to this virus till now throughout the world. This pandemic is creating powerful impacts in various sectors. Many countries have been locked down due to this virus. Due to the same reason, educational organizations are also affected and are closed. Some colleges and schools are guiding their students through online medium. In Nepal, final exam of class 10 which is called Secondary Education Examination (SEE) is also postponed. This is considered one of the most important exams for future career of students because in many fields certificate of this exam is needed for getting employed.<\/p>\n

Likewise the previous years, SEE was going to be started from 6th Chaitra. There were more than 4 lakhs SEE attending students this year. All the schools seemed competitive in our district so competition was tough. We were also guided by our teachers properly and were provided some basic rules and tips by our teachers while writing exam. It is common or not, I don’t know, but I was excited for this exam. We had not even thought that this virus will harm our daily life and will change our lifestyle. But this virus was slowly spreading throughout the world. In 10th of Magh, a Nepalese was infected from this virus. Then, the whole country started paying attention towards it. In case of SEE, it was thought to be carried out with full emergency health services and checking body temperatures of students. All the preparations of exam centers were completed. Papers, copies and seat planning which were ready were waiting for the students to come. As like every year, other adults were also paying attentions and praying for the better result of their children and relatives. But in the eve of the exam, a sudden decision was taken that SEE is postponed till another decision.<\/p>\n

Here, I will describe my feelings when I heard this news. Till the afternoon of 5th Chaitra, my all the preparations were completed of every subject. First paper was of English so I was revising the writing model and grammar which are important for the exam. I came out from my room for refreshment in the evening. After some funny gossips with my grandfather I was about to go inside for preparing my wearing mask for tomorrow. At the same time my grandfather was scrolling a social site. Then, suddenly he said \u00a0, ” \u0932 ! \u0924\u0947\u0930\u094b \u092a\u0930\u0940\u0915\u094d\u0937\u093e \u0938\u0930\u0947\u0915\u094b \u0916\u092c\u0930 \u0906\u092f\u094b \u0964 \u0938\u093e\u091a\u094d\u091a\u093f\u0915\u0948 \u0939\u094b \u0915\u093f \u0915\u094d\u092f\u093e\u0939\u094b BBC \u0932\u0947 \u0928\u0948 \u0939\u093e\u0932\u0947\u0915\u094b \u091b \u0924 \u0964 “. I was shocked after seeing that news and became speechless. That became like a nightmare for me for some time. After some time a news channel also broadcast-ed the same information and the news was proved real. I am a short tempered person and I was full of anger after knowing the news. I messaged my friends and they were also not satisfied with this decision. Then I got my mobile phone back which was taken by my grandfather for making me to concentrate in my studies. I felt this decision was an untimely and unnecessarily taken decision. I was so dissatisfied that I didn’t touch my books till 14th Chaitra. But according to present situation, I think the decision was quite right. Staying with a random partner for 3 hours in 8 days was dangerous.<\/p>\n

But, the government should have taken this decision a bit earlier. Student like me who have internet facility in my home and exam centre is near for whom don’t have any problem with this decision. But let’s think about the students of remote villages and who are staying in a hotel room for attending the exam centers. They had a lot of problems. Even there will be problem of money for them next time if they belonged to a poor family. Till now, no decision is taken about SEE because the rate of corona infected people is still very high. Lockdown throughout the country is extended till 3rd of Baisakh 2077. If this virus will be under control till the 3rd Baisakh, then the new decision will be taken. Now, my school (Mount View English Boarding School) has created a messenger group with teachers. This will surely help to clear any doubts on any subject. From the 15th of Chaitra , I am also opening my books for revision for some time in a day. All the subject matters will be slowly revised and I will again be fully prepared. My principal had personally called me and said to be fully prepared. I am also working hard again these days for rising up in the exam.<\/p>\n

There were my expectations of better result before and those expectations were ruined by this virus. This is again empowering me to work hard and get better result. There were some dreams for the holidays after SEE that were destroyed when the exam was postponed. Actually, I am a local cricket player also and my practice had been stopped to concentrate in exams. So I had to go to practice again. I had thoughts to visit many beautiful places throughout the country with friends and my parents. Those dreams are also ruined.<\/p>\n

Positivity always wins against negativity so this negative virus will also disappear after some time. Then, more than 4 lakhs students who are waiting for their exams will give their exams with peace and all of their dreams will come true.All the people who are reading this article are requested to hope for positivity and pray for the rescue of the world.<\/p>\n
